Terms & Conditions

[Last updated: 02/11/2017]

The following Terms & Conditions have been produced to safeguard your dogs’ health, safety & wellbeing whilst boarding with Paws-services. You will be required to have read and agreed to the Terms & Conditions prior to any period of boarding being agreed. Please note: we reserve the right to change or amend the terms and conditions at any time. You can find the latest version of our terms and conditions at our website (this page) or by requesting them in person.

Prior to your dog boarding with Paws Services we will arrange to meet with you and your dog to ensure your dog is suitable for home boarding and to ensure you are happy to leave your dog in the care of Paws Services.

Prior to a period of boarding being agreed, all new dogs will be required to undertake a trial of either day care or an overnight stay with Paws Services. Having a trial is essential to ensuring your dog is able to settle, reducing anxiety and it gives us the opportunity to get to know your dog.

You will be required to complete a boarding form prior to any period of boarding being agreed. The information you provide should include a full and honest account of your dog’s characteristics, behaviour and care requirements. Failure to disclose information about your dog may result in additional charges being incurred.

Your boarding booking will only be considered secure after the satisfactory completion of a booking form and payment of a £50 non-refundable deposit to Paws Services at least 2 weeks prior to the boarding period commencing.

The balance for the period of boarding will be payable on collection of your dog by either cash or bank transfer. Please note that boarding fees are £25 for every 24-hour period between 8am until 8am the following day irrespective of what time you drop your dog off to Paws Services. Later collections will result in additional charges being added to your final balance.

Charges for day care will be applied at £20 for the 10-hour period between 8am until 6pm. Charges for boarding will be applied at £25 for collection after 6pm.

Your dog must be fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatments prior to boarding with Paws Services. We will request a copy of their current vaccination certificate for our files.

Paws Services will consider accepting unuttered males and unspayed bitches on a case by case basis. If you believe your dog is due to be in season during the boarding period, you must inform Paws Services of this.

Your dog must wear a Paws Services identity tag at all times whilst boarding with us which displays our address and contact details.

All dogs must be microchipped and details of the number provided on the booking form prior to boarding being agreed.

You must supply enough food for your dog for the duration of the boarding period plus food and water bowls, treats, bedding, and any toys etc. which will help your dog to settle. If insufficient food is supplied for the boarding period, you will be responsible for reimbursing Paws Services for any costs incurred.

You must disclose to Paws Services if your dog has ever shown any aggression towards or around other dogs, people, children, food, toys etc.

You must disclose to Paws Services details of any illnesses or medical conditions and relevant treatments your dog has prior to boarding being agreed.

If your dog becomes aggressive or destructive whilst boarding with Paws Services, we reserve the right to contact your emergency contact and request they come and collect the dog. Where this is not possible, Paws Services reserves the right to source alternative accommodation for your dog for the remainder of the boarding period.

You agree to be responsible for payment of any alternative accommodation sourced by Paws Services in the event that we have deemed it unsafe for your dog to continue to board with us.

In the event that your dog causes damage to the property or belongings of Paws Services, other than reasonable wear and tear, you agree to be responsible for reimbursing Paws Services of any reasonable cost incurred.

If your dog becomes ill or is injured whilst boarding with Paws Services, we will seek advice from a veterinary surgeon and will always act in the best interest of your dog. You agree to be responsible for any charges incurred in this instance. We do recommend your dog is insured against sickness, accident and injury prior to commencing boarding with Paws Services.

In the unlikely event of your dog dying whilst in the care of Paws Services, we will seek advice from a veterinary surgeon and will always act in the best interest of your dog. You agree to be responsible for any charges incurred in this instance.

During the period of boarding, Paws Services will exercise all possible care to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of your dog. However, Paws Services cannot be held liable for any accident, injury, illness or death of your dog either inside or outside of our home.

If you do not understand any part of these terms and conditions, it is important that you contact us and we will happily explain it to you. You may also download (PDF) a copy for your records - however please be mindful they are subject to change.
